Just for you collects stories of designers, illustrators, artists from all around the world, whose through their own eyes they show us their most intimate pieces. The book goes through different forms of expressions to say I love you, in a visual fashion. Objects, cards, logos, posters, graffiti, photographs, illustrations that let see in this pages reflecting the most personal work of each one of them.

Devoner Gonzalez introduces us a collection enriched by the detail and hand-made work of his graphic art.

Atelier Martino & Jaña have created a series of posters to promote music, dance and theatre events, each poster varies in its style, nonetheless all of them create and holds a pattern that serves as a notorious and flexible identity for the host: CCVF.

A collection of fifteen printed patterns in 2 x 2 Azulejos tile grids made for the Red Bull Air Race 2009, a modern visual style meets such traditional media as the Azulejo tile are for Portugal, providing as result framed magic.

“Red Bull Portugal proposed the challenge to make 15 artworks, one for each pilot in the Red Bull Air Race. As a result, this 15 framed canvas, each inspired individually in the pilots background, interests and team colors. Each is signed in the back and has a text about the Portuguese Azulejo tile.”

Strongly inspired in Infographics and Chart-graphics, Inksurge developed the Atene Art Awards “The Next Wave” brand and print material.

This is just a teaser of what Jordi Sierra Santano states, will be developing to the Les, comes, a rural space with a wide range of events to support. The project is a challenge and the resulting pieces are, up to this point, really fresh and rich in details. I will keep you all posted.

Time for some Mike Cina / Paul Young power-work, for Computer Arts. Graphic art / design based in navigation and IA themes. Obviously, their style is undeniable.

Joel Speasmaker updates his portfolio after a long while:

“Mind/Spirit” was my part of a two person show, alongside Christopher Bettig’s “Foreverever,” at DDR Projects in Long Beach, CA.

My work was an exploration of Hegel’s The Phenomenology of Spirit, featuring prints, a book, and a motion/sound piece. The prints included Mind/Spirit (16.5x 20.5”), Some Appropriate Dialectics (48 x 20.5”), Geistlos (16.5 x 20.5”), Weltgeist (16.5 x 20.5”), Volksgeist (16.5 x 20.5”), Geist (16.5 x 20.5”), Comprehension (48 x 20.5”), and Synergetics (16.5 x 20.5”). Each gicleé print is an edition of 1 and had aspects (circles or letters) cut and removed.

This poster was created for the screening of “The Flying Scissors,” a mockumentary about the “intense, grueling world of competitive ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors.’” The edges of the poster are actually sliced up with physical scissors in order to mimic the nature of the game as well as to play on the title of the movie.

Print brochure designed by Mallalieu (Maldesign), Soccer Schools Journal is one interesting piece filled with details and entertaining graphic artwork. The look and feel is indeed very warm.
