“An internal New York Times team launched a redesign of the International Herald Tribune in April 2009. Miguel Buckenmeyer participated early in the redesign process—which sought to identify the IHT more closely with its parent, The New York Times Company, as well as accentuate its business and culture-related content. Our role consisted largely of developing components of the graphic identity of the paper by generating ideas for front-page skyboxes, columnist logos, section headings, special grids and assorted journalistic labeling devices rather unfortunately labeled “kickers” and “slugs.”// Click-through »

The Newyorker Joel Speasmaker’s Studio: Forest does Graphic design, comissions a series of works to various (and with a wide professional career) graphic designers and artsits about their approach of each one of them towards the alphabet: A to Z results in an enriched 26 piece exhibition, already seen in several museums in the States (New Image Art, Ada Gallery, y Lump Gallery).

My work was an exploration of Hegel’s The Phenomenology of Spirit, featuring prints, a book, and a motion/sound piece. The prints included Mind/Spirit (16.5x 20.5”), Some Appropriate Dialectics (48 x 20.5”), Geistlos (16.5 x 20.5”), Weltgeist (16.5 x 20.5”), Volksgeist (16.5 x 20.5”), Geist (16.5 x 20.5”), Comprehension (48 x 20.5”), and Synergetics (16.5 x 20.5”). Each gicleé print is an edition of 1 and had aspects (circles or letters) cut and removed.
